Yearbook Production

Gail Atkins

The start of your high school journey begins with 9th grade English.  I hope this is a fun experience for you.  We'll read some pieces of literature that may be a brand new genre for you; and we'll read some pieces that I hope will help you develop a love of reading.

At the end of your 9th grade year, you are eligible to apply to be on the yearbook production team. This is a leadership team, which is only open to 10th - 12th graders. Team members must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and the absence of disciplinary referrals.  If you fall into this category and you love writing, or you love taking photos, then we want you on our team representing Tate.  Please talk with me about an application.

Whatever you decide to do, remember that Tate has something for everyone.  Though you are just at the very start of your high school path, your time within the walls of Tate High School will pass by quickly.  I encourage you to study hard, this is your education--an investment in yourself.  Get involved in clubs, sports, or groups here at Tate.  Being an Aggie will be one of the best experiences of your life. The Aggie experience will include making a lot of great friends and making a lot of great memories, but your Aggie experience will be what you make it.

Be sure your high school experience is successful.  I am here to help you reach academic success. All of your other teachers, your counselors, your advisors, and coaches are all here for you.

Our focus is on helping you find success.
