Rick Shackle

937-2300 Ext. 224

It is my privilege to be the principal of the largest high school in Escambia County. Our facility has more than 18 buildings built on 80 acres. Founded in 1878, Tate High School has a rich tradition and a commitment to excellence. Our challenging curriculum offers five career academies (Health, Vet Tech, Early Childhood, Multi Media, and Gaming), and an abundance of Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses. Each year our ACT and EOC scores remain competitive, leading the District and exceeding State averages. Our extracurricular programs offer the same dedication and commitment - from our 2012 State Champion Mock Trial Team, 7-time Baseball State Champions, Football State Champions, FFA State Officers, to our nationally recognized Showband of the South. Our family, faculty, staff, community, and students feel that Tate High School offers something for everyone. We hope you find the information on our web site to be helpful.

Mr. Rick Shackle, Principal
